  20. Some people asked for some rituals, so here is the one of the most basic
  21. ones and one of the most important rituals for beginning students of
  22. Cermonial Magick. Enjoy!
  23. Please keep in mind that this ritual is one version of MANY! if you have
  24. a better one, please do feel free to share.

  29.                        LOWER BANISHING RITUAL OF THE PENTAGRAM

  33. Here is the Lower Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. This is used to
  34. clarify the mind before any ritual work (including divinations) as well
  35. as clearing the area of any lingering astral garbage entities. It is also
  36. advisable to do this before meditations since it helps to center and
  37. focus the mind.

  40. There are three parts to this ritual:
  41.  
  42. 1. Qabalistic Cross
  43.  
  44. -Move to the center of space, close your eyes and spend a few moments
  45. clearing your mind
  46. - Visualize your self growing larger and larger, upward and through any
  47. barriers (such as roof) that might exist.  Rise up until you can the area
  48. below you, then the whole city, then the country, then the erath.
  49. - Keep growing upward till you can see the solar system below you, and
  50. glalaxy, keep going higher still.
  51. - Then become aware of a brilliant shining white light above you.
  52. -  Know that this light is the light of the divine, and if you were to
  53. see it all at once you would go blind and possibly insane, therefore you
  54. only become aware of a small part of it.
  55. - Reach up in your mind and physically with your right hand bring the
  56. light down to your forehead.  At this point touch your forehead
  57. physically and vibrate the word "AH-TEH", visualising with your eyes (and
  58. with eyes still closed) a brilliant white ray of light coming out of your
  59. forehead and extending upward, infinitely.
  60. - Then bring your hand down so it's covering your genital area with your
  61. finger pointing downward and vibrate "MAHL-KOOT". At the same time see
  62. the white ray of light extending downward, infinitely, through the earth
  63. and ends of the universe.
  64. - Then touch your right shoulder vibrating "VEH GEH-BUR-AH" while
  65. visualising the light extend outward to your right, infinitely.
  66. - Do same for left shoulder but see the light extending to the left and
  67. vibrate " VEH GEH-DUL-AH"
  68. - The clasp your hands at your chest and vibrate " LEH O-LAHM, AH-MEN".
  69. - See the cross formed with light flare brilliantly.
  70.  
  71. (what you said in this cross translates into " For thine is the kingdom,
  72. the power and the glory, eternally, Amen" )
  73.  
  74. Second Part:
  75.  
  76. Face East:
  77. - Go to the edge of "circle", not necessarily as far out as you
  78. physically can, but as far as you want the border to be.
  79. - Walk to the east and extend your arm pointing at the air in front of
  80. you.  You may either have eyes closed or open.
  81. - Draw a pentagram in the air with "Magickal fire"; i.e. visualize energy
  82. flowing from your dagger, wand, or finger, and forming a flaming blue
  83. line.  The pentagram must be drawn from the lower left corner up, then
  84. diagonally down and to the right, then diagonally up-left, straight right
  85. and then back down to the lower corner point.
  86. - When you have completed drawing it, see it flaming in the air before
  87. you, and step backward slightly, feet parallel
  88. - Raise both hands to the sides of your head, near your ears, finger
  89. pointing outward.  Step forward with left foot and move both hands inward
  90. meeting at the center of the pentagram.  As they "pierce" the center
  91. vibrate "YOD-HEH-VAH-VEH" and see the pentagram flare before you.
  92. - Walk clockwise and ciculatory to the south, and with your arm raised.
  93. Visualize a white glowing line following your hand in the air, creating
  94. that portion of the circle.
  95. - When you are facing south, again draw the pentagram, and do the same as
  96. before and vibrate "AH-DOH-NYE"
  97. - Walk to the west, seeing the white line of light marking that part of
  98. the circle in the air before you.
  99. - Draw the pentagram there and do the same as before, but vibrate
  100. "EH-HEH-YEH"
  101. - Walk to the north, and do the same as before completing the circle of
  102. light.  In the north draw a pentagram and do as before vibrating "AH-GLAH"
  103.  
  104. - After doing this see the white light marking the circle expand into the
  105. sphere of brillian white light, extending to the sides, upward in the air
  106. and down through the ground, protecting you on all sides.
  107. - Walk clockwise, back to the center of the circle.
  108.  
  109. Third Part:
  110.  
  111. - Face East, raise your arms in the air and say, "Before me, Rah-pha-el"
  112. vibrate the name of the angel and see him standing before you in the
  113. east, dressed in yellow robes and surrounded by swirling wind and air.
  114. - Then say "Behind me, Gah-bra-el". Vibrate the angel's name and see him
  115. in your mind standing behind you dressed in blue with some orange
  116. highlights.  Be able to feel the moisture in the air.
  117. - Then say "On my right hand, Mee-chi-el". Vibrate his name and see him
  118. standing on the south of the circle holding a flaming sword and
  119. surrounded by fire and the sun.
  120. - The say "on my left hand,  Au-ree-el." Vibratte the name, and see the
  121. nagel of earth standing at the north of the circle, surrounded by things
  122. of earth,
  123. - Then say "For about me flames of the pentagram..." At this point see a
  124. large pentagram overlaying your body, the tip being at your forehead,
  125. the left and right points on your arms, and the two lower points on your
  126. feet. (Arms should be raised for this).
  127. - Then say "And withing me shines the six pointed star." See a golden
  128. hexagram glowing within the center of the chest.
  129.  
  130. - Then perform the Qabalistic cross again.
  131.  
  132. This marks the end of this ritual.  This ritual is VERY good for
  133. concentration and especially banishing any lurking influences in your
  134. area (whichever this area may be)
  135. Please note that this ritual need not be performed physically, but can be
  136. performed astrally and the names can also be vibrated astrally as well.
